Vernon B. Nicholas

Vernon B. Nicholas, Jr, age 73, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

Vernon was born on February 6, 1950 in New York City, NY to the late Marguerite Green Nicholas McKnight and Vernon B. Nicholas, Sr. Vernon was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and served our country in the Army National Guard until retirement. He enjoyed running, exercising and sports.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gwendolyn Nicholas Punnyman.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jackie Nicholas; children, Vernise Nicholas Wansley; Tocora Wheatly, Ignatious Wheatly, Brittany Wheatly and Udell Aaron; grandchildren, Cor’tilleous- Hurricane Nicholas, Kobe Jackson, MyKiah Wheatly, and Kehlani Wright; siblings, Angula Wheatly Taylor, and Edward Good.

A graveside service will be held, 11:00am Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, MS.
