Veronica Magas Matulich

Mrs. Veronica Magas Matulich, age 99, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Sunday, July 17, 2005, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Matulich was born in Molat, Croatia, and was raised in Biloxi. She was a former longtime resident of Metairie, LA., and was a resident of Ocean Springs since 1996. Mrs. Matulich was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marko Matulich, parents, George and Mikela Magas and a sister, Violet Magas Omas. She is survived by a two nieces, Bernadine Marchitto and husband Ralph, of Ocean Springs, and Olga Bold, three nephews, Robert Gegen of Ocean Springs, George Omas of Washington, D.C., and William Gegen, a great-niece, Deborah Lynn Wren and husband, John, and a great-great-niece, Rebecca Elizabeth Wren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, from 9-10:30 AM, with a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM in the St. Louis #3 Cemetery in New Orleans, LA. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
