Vickie Lynn Dunn, “Queen Victoria”, 70, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Houston, TX.
Vickie was born January 19, 1954 in Roseville, CA. She made Long Beach her home after graduating from Baumholder American High School in Baumholder, Germany in June, 1972.
Vickie's work career started in 1974 with South Central Bell, where she stayed for many years. She retired in 2019 from The Hollywood Casino as a poker dealer, where she established many long-term friendships.
In all of Vickie's school years, she played a variety of sports, baseball being her favorite. She loved watching her son, Scott, play baseball through the years. When her grandson, Landon, made baseball his passion, she was ecstatic and loved watching him play more than anything and with great pride. Vickie was also an avid traveler. She loved to experience different cultures while seeing the world.
Those who knew Vickie well, knew she had a serious addiction: Vaseline. There were, and still are, small containers all over her house, Candy’s house, and any vehicle she rode in regularly. Every time Candy sees one, it puts a smile on her face.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard D. and Bonnie J. Tuttle and her brother, Gerald L. Tuttle.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ralph E. Dunn; son, Scott J. Carden; grandchildren, Cameron Jinright, Landon Carden, Drew Dunn, Leah Dunn, and Raeyln Dunn; brother, Thomas Tuttle; sister, Candy Thornton; many nieces and nephews; all the friends she'd made along the way; and her best friend, Stephanie Rosetti.
A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach, MS, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, MS.
