Mr. Vincent Joseph Polovich, age 81, of Biloxi, died Monday, January 22, 2007 in Biloxi.
Mr. Polovich had been a lifelong resident of the Coast. He graduated from Biloxi High School in 1943. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a founder and co-owner of V. J.'s Auto Parts. Mr. Polovich was also a founding member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.
Mr. Polovich was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Peter and Lucy Misko Polovich; a son, Vincent Paul Polovich; a brother, Matre Polovich; and a sister, Lucille Lynch.
Mr. Polovich is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Edith Polovich; two daughters, Dyane Held and her husband Mike, and Beth Gilreath and her husband Larry; two sons, Keith Polovich and his fiancé Michelle, and Richard Polovich and his wife Terri; two sisters, Lucretia Clements and her husband James, and Marie Chiovari; a brother, Anthony Polovich and his wife Peggy; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Held, Lauren Held, Keith Polovich, Kenneth Polovich, Rhett Taylor, Frank Taylor, Alexandra Polovich, Kristen Gilreath, Kelly Gilreath, Katherine Gilreath, Anthony Delaune, Summer Polovich and Jason Polovich; and one great-grandchild, Riana Taylor.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church; friends may visit from 9:00am until service time. Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
