Mrs. Vineacie Waldrop Wood, 82, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, February 3, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Wood was a native of McLauren, MS and had been a resident of the coast since childhood. She was a member of The House of Prayer Tabernacle in Latimer and a former employee with Mavar's Canning Company in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Wayne Wood; her parents, Jim and Daisy Waldrop; three brothers, Chester Waldrop, James Waldrop and Jasper Waldrop and two sisters, Nellie Wood and Laura Daughtery.
Survivors include her husband, J. D. Wood; one daughter, Loretta Myrick; four sons, Kenneth Wood and his wife, Bonnie, Michael Wood and his wife, Ilene, Darrell Wood and his wife, Sheila, Mark Wood and his wife, Susan; one sister, Leafie Louviere and her husband, Bruce; one brother, Tim Waldrop and his wife, Delores; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday, February 6, 2006, from 5 till 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
