Viola M. Sumrall

Viola M. Sumrall of Gulfport died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in Gulfport. She was born in Waterbury, CT and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Long Beach and was a retired hairdresser. Mrs. Sumrall was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Sumrall. She is survived by her son, Carmen Koosa of Fontana, CA; her sister-in-law, Marie Harshbarger of Long Beach; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian. The family request that memorials be made to: St. Thomas Catholic Church, 712 East Beach, Long Beach, MS 39560. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th St., Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
