Virginia Armstrong

Virginia Davis Armstrong, 82, was born to John and Iva Davis on June 22, 1928 in Columbia, MS, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Ocean Springs Hospital. During her life time Virginia was very active with Eastern Star and her church. Virginia was a retired teacher and taught in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Long Beach and Pass Christian, MS. Virginia had no children of her own but often referred to her former students as her children. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, John and Iva Davis of Columbia, MS, and her husband, Robert Armstrong of Long Beach, MS. She is survived by Brenda Smith (TJ) her cousin and immediate caregiver for the past 12 years and numerous other cousins. The family extends their thanks to Dr. Regina Mills and the staff at Seymour Place for their excellent care and comfort for the past 4 years. A graveside service will be held in Columbia, MS at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
