Mrs. Virginia May Odom, age 72, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2007, in Biloxi, MS.
Virginia was born in Chester, PA., on April 10, 1935, and grew up with six brothers and sisters. She moved to Florida after her childhood years where she met her husband, Jim, started a family and became a military wife. After her husband's Army retirement in 1973, the family moved to Ocean Springs.
Virginia was a Methodist, who loved God and her family. She had the greatest passion for little children and animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, parents, Edward and Virginia Detwiler and three brothers.
Virginia will be sadly missed by her daughter, Debra Lee, two sons, Jim (Pat) Odom and Edward Odom, two grandchildren and one great-grandson, all of Ocean Springs, MS., three sisters, Sarah Hart of Cherry Hill, NJ, Linda Richard and Doris Curry, both of Tennessee, and one brother, Walter Detwiler of St. Cloud, FL.
Private services will be held at a later date. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge.
