Vivian Marie Voivedich Johnson, age 91, of Gulfport, died Friday, December 26, 2014 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Johnson was born September 23, 1923 in Ocean Springs and graduated from Biloxi High School. She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church for 50 years, served on the St. James Altar Society and was a Red Cross volunteer at Keesler Medical Center for 12 years. Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth M. Johnson; parents, Morris A. Voivedich Sr. and Elsie Marie Ryan Voivedich; two sisters, Jean Chandler, Constance Lowery; three brothers, R.J. Voivedich, Morris Voivedich Jr., Francis Voivedich.
She is survived by her brother Vincent Voivedich (Eunice); four sisters, Julia Fausak, Carolyn Krupnick (Charles), Joyce Ray, Janice Yelverton; two daughters, Kenise Johnston, Jenise Bratzler (Kurt); four sons, Jerry Johnson (Mary), Terrence Johnson (Jacque), Derald Johnson (Hea Sook), Kieran Johnson (Joyce); 29 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport with visitation at 10:00 a.m. The family prefers memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
