Mrs. Vivian Krohn Callender, 82, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, October 7, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Callender was born in Jackson County and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church.
Mrs. Callender was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, George Edward Callender, Sr.; son, Michael A. Callender; parents, Horace and Eva Seymour Krohn; brothers, Hurley Krohn and Lloyd Krohn, and sister, Eula King. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Usnik and her husband, Dan, of Natchez, MS; daughters-in-law, Joy Callender Wilcox and Jane Callender of Ocean Springs, and Diane Callender of Pensacola, FL; sons, Horace L. Callender and his wife, Elizabeth, and David E. Callender of Ocean Springs, and George E. Callender and his wife, Rita, of Aiken, SC; sisters, Kathryn Lutz of Ocean Springs and Jaunita Phillips of Vancleave; grandchildren, Virginia Wills, Douglas Callender, H. L. Callender, Jr., Kristi Fimiano, Derek Callender, Sabrina Moore, Jennifer Usnik Rich, Laura Usnik, Pat Mrachek, Michael Mrachek, Jeff Mrachek and their spouses; Cory and Casey Wills, Drew, Jacob and Jessica Callender, Leif and Corban Moore, Michael and Emma Kate Fimiano, Lauren, Madeline, Joshua, Timothy, Sarah Elizabeth and Megan Mrachek, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Seymour Cemetery, Bayou Talla Road in St. Martin.
The family prefers donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial/Honor Program FH, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
