Wallace J. Richard, Sr.

Mr. Wallace J. Richard, Sr., 70, of North Biloxi, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Richard was a lifelong resident of the coast where he coached little league sports. He served in the National Guard Reserves for 10 years. Mr. Richard was also an accomplished steel guitarist who played in a local band. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Josephine Richard; a sister, Margarette Broussard; and two brothers, Theodore Richard and Gerald Richard. Mr. Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alta Fern Brown Richard; a daughter, Sherry Jones and her husband, Billy, of McHenry; four sons, Wallace Richard, Jr. and his wife, Liz, of Pass Christian, Terry Richard and his wife, Stephanie, of Knoxville, TN, Billy Richard and Darren Richard both of Biloxi; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Mae Hebert and Cleo Meaut both of Biloxi; two brothers, Leo Richard of Woolmarket and Dalton Richard of Biloxi. Services will be held Friday, March 17, 2006 at 11:00am at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes where friends may visit one hour prior to service time. Burial to follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
