Wallace Long "Ironshirt" Johnson, Jr., age 57, of Gulfport, died Friday, February 8, 2008 in Gulfport. He was born in Haleyville, AL and had been a resident of the Coast since moving here from Houston, TX in 1999. He was the former owner of Trade Winds Motor Company in Biloxi and Houston. "Ironshirt" enjoyed life, especially deep-sea fishing and casinos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace L. Johnson, Sr. and Virginia Hortense Thomas Johnson; a sister, Jeanne Ellen Johnson; and an uncle, Honorable Frank M. Johnson, Jr. He is survived by his former wife, Sharon Lee Johnson of Gulfport; a sister, Virginia A. Johnson of Santa Monica, CA; a half-brother, Mark Truett Johnson of Texas; a niece, Laurie Ellen Wedra of Davis, CA; and an uncle, James Johnson of Montgomery, AL. Private services will be held.
