Walter N. Farris, 66, of Pass Christian, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Farris was a native of New Orleans and was a long time resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a graduate of Riverside Military College and attended Louisiana State University. Mr. Farris worked as a supervisor for Gulf Coast Mental Health and he was also a commercial pilot. He was a Catholic.
Mr. Farris was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae Farris.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Farris, three daughters, Laura Farris, Shelley Farris, and Susan Farris all of Pass Christian, one step-daughter, Leslie Blanchard Albert of Gulfport, and step-son, Darren Blanchard of Long Beach, one sister, Marlian Seiler of Metarie, one brother, Charles Farris of Melbourne, FL, and three grandchildren, Dillan Palmisano, Justin Jackson, and Jacob Jackson.
The funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour before service.
