Walter Samuel "Sam" Eighmey

Walter Samuel "Sam" Eighmey, 66, of Gulfport, died Monday, March 1, 2010 in Gulfport. He served in the U.S. Navy, retiring after twenty-six years of service. He was a loving grandfather and he enjoyed cooking and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Sue Eighmey of Gulfport; three daughters, Leah Haner (Jeff) of Biloxi, Rebecca Kelly (Ronnie) of New Jersey, Beverly Smith (Kelly) of Washington state; a son, Walter Britt Eighmey (Cynthia) of Long Beach; six grandchildren, Celeste, Jessica, Britlee, Joseph, William, and Samuel; and Joseph Hillman. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the service.
