Walter “Frenchie” Thibodeaux, age 87, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015. Mr. Thibodeaux was born and raised in Biloxi and was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a member of Blessed Seelos Catholic Church and an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a beloved husband, father and pawpaw.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felican and Eunice Thibodeaux; son, Kenny Thibodeaux; brothers, Levis Thibodeaux, Alfred Thibodeaux, Edward Thibodeaux and Roy Thibodeaux; and sister, Delta Watson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Eleanora (Girlie) Thibodeaux; children, Jim (Debra) Thibodeaux, David (Becky) Thibodeaux, Kathi (Jim) Stubel and Gerry (Amy) Thibodeaux; grandchildren, James (Angie) Thibodeaux, Amber (James) McDaniel, Jake (Lexi) Thibodeaux, Kaitlyn (Trey) Dunham, Garrett Thibodeaux, Annie Thibodeaux and Aaron Ragsdale; great grandchildren, Kathryn Thibodeaux, Ava Thibodeaux, Kennly Dunham and Brantley Thibodeaux; sisters, Dela Hargrove, Bea Premeaux and Mae Mayer; and brothers, Joe (Inga) Thibodeaux.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to be made to Blessed Seelos Catholic Church, 360 Lameuse St, Biloxi, MS 39530.
The family would like to express their profound thanks to the staff at Sunplex and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care shown to Walter during his stay there.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
