Mrs. Wanda P. Mooney, 42, of Gulfport, MS, died Monday, July 3, 2006, in Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Mooney was a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport. She was a member of Bayou View Baptist Church and President of Anniston Elementary PTA where she was selected as Parent of The Year. Mrs. Mooney was an active volunteer for Gulfport Youth Sports Association and her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Parker, Sr. and Rose Mary Mitchell, and two brothers, Johnathan Wayne Parker and Cecil Ray Parker. Survivors include her husband, Jay Mooney; one daughter, Monica Favre; one son, Daniel Mooney; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Talmadge and Faye Mooney; her sister, Beverly Ignacio and her husband, Alex; her brother, Clyde Parker, Jr. and his wife, Debbie; sister-in-law, Teresa Ladner and her husband, Craig; nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Bayou View Baptist Church where friends may visit from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
