Wanda "Penny" Schonewitz Lamas Johnson

Wanda “Penny” Schonewitz Lamas Johnson,73, of Biloxi, MS passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Penny was born April 27, 1951 in Biloxi, MS to Freddie William Schonewitz and Verda Mae Belton. Penny was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie William Schonewitz and Verda Mae Belton; spouse, Donald Eugene Johnson, Jr.; and sibling, Donnie Schonewitz.

Survivors include her children, Scotty Schonewitz and Chad (Ashleigh) Lamas; grandchildren, Parker Lamas; and siblings, Eugene (Joanne)Schonewitz, Carolyn (Bobby) Fletcher, Johnny Olsen, Jimmy Olsen, Evans Murray, and Daryl Murray.

A private burial will be held. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport.
