Warren Bernard Doussan, Sr., age 93, passed to his eternal rest on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Warren is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lynn Hope Doussan; his daughters, Jeanne Galjour (Jess), Yvonne Borck, and Denise Oubre (Todd); 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and one sister, Stella Golden. He was predeceased by one son, Warren Bernard Doussan, Jr.; parents, Scott and Edmee Doussan; and brothers, Donald, Stanley, and Jack Doussan.
Warren graduated from St. Raphael Elementary, St. Aloysius High in Gentilly, and attended Louisiana State University. Warren enjoyed playing and watching all sports, especially LSU. He was a devoted and loyal LSU fan and true to purple and gold.
Warren worked over 35 years as Vice President of the Customer Service Department at Gerhart’s in Jefferson, Louisiana. After retiring, Warren become proprietor of The New Get-a-way rental vacation homes in Pass Christian. He delighted in renting his beautiful homes and seeing others enjoy their vacations.
Warren served in the branches of the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps as Sergeant. Warren lived his life as a marine, with his constant generosity, integrity, courage, discipline, and dependability. He was patriotic and cherished the American flag.
Warren was a prayerful man who loved God. One of his favorite times of the day was praying the rosary with his wife, Lynn. The family asks in lieu of flowers to have mases said at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Long Beach, Mississippi.
The Mass of Christian Celebration will be at St. Thomas the Apostle in Long Beach on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. for family and friends. Burial will follow immediately afterwards at Biloxi National Cemetery.
