Wayne Paul Baye

On Monday, October 10, 2022, Wayne Paul Baye, loving husband and father of two children, passed away peacefully at the age of 78. He was transferred from Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home to Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero, LA.

Wayne was born on November 5, 1943 in Marrero, LA to Adrian and Eula Sevin Baye. He was a lifelong machinist who enjoyed teaching his craft to upcoming machinists. On October 30, 1964, he married Peggy Muhl Baye. Together they raised two children, Laney Baye Butler (Anthony) and the late Les Joseph Baye. After retirement Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Dakota Paul Baye (Whitney Adams), Malia Butler, and Gillian Butler. He was the brother of Aubry Baye Baye and the late Adrian Baye Jr., Laura Lee Guillotte, Eugene Baye, Callen Baye, Glyn Rae Bruce, and David Baye. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne enjoyed being part of many social clubs on the Westbank. He was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He was always generous, did not let anyone go hungry, and his forever smile was contagious.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be held from 11:30 until funeral time. Interment Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
