Wayne Beatty

Mr. Wayne M. Beatty, age 63, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, February 24, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Beatty was born on July 4, 1942, in Newton, N.J., and had been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1987. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1960 to 1964. He retired as Vice President of Citicorp in Walnut Creek, CA. Upon moving to Ocean Springs, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 16 years, retiring in 2004. Mr. Beatty received many awards during his CG service including the Medal of Operational Merit in recognition of outstanding skill in performing a rescue. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Ellis Beatty and Mary Beard Beatty. Mr. Beatty is survived by his wife, Estherbelle Wentworth Beatty of Ocean Springs, MS., and his sister, Susanne Reuter of Newton, N.J. On Friday, March 3, 2006, there will be an 11 A.M. graveside service at the Biloxi National Cemetery, with military honors.
