Wayne B. Varner, 75, of Grand Bay, AL passed away and went to see his Father on Friday, July 15, 2011 in Pascagoula.
Wayne was born August 2, 1935 in Beliot, WI. He worked offshore for most of his life for Seacore/Grahams Offshore. He loved fishing, football, great fan of Nascars, Matt Kenseth and deeply loved his children and grandchildren. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Charlotte Varner; one sister, Billie Varner; two daughters, Kelly King and Cindy Varner: and a grandson, Christopher Fischer.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette B. Varner; a brother, Miles Varner of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Loretta (Chris) Harris from Pascagoula, MS; five sons, Casey Varner, Brian (Darlene) Holifield and Jonel Varner of Pascagoula, MS, Bradley (Tonya) Varner of Gautier, MS and Scott (Katherine) Varner of Monroe, WI; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
There will be a memorial service held at Church on The Rock in Pascagoula, MS on Monday, July 18, 2011, officiated by Pastor Rodger Bradley, at 11:00 a.m. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
