Wayne Lyle Cassimus

Wayne Lyle Cassimus, age 55, of Ocean Springs, died Thursday, August 19, 2010. Mr. Cassimus was a life long resident of Ocean Springs where he attended St. Alphonsus and Notre' Dame Schools. He served his country in the United States Army for four years including two years in Turkey as a radio operator and sharp shooter with the M16 rifle. He was a avid sports fan and enjoyed following the news, politics, and history. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, William Cassimus, and sister, Norma Jacquet Donnellan. He is survived by his mother, Argentina Cassimus; his wife, Renee' Braciante'; two sisters, Roza (Justice) Hauser and Vicki (Hank) Dickson; four nephews, Jason, Jesse, Joseph Jacquet, and Justin Donnellan; three nieces, Jennifer and Liza Hauser and Samantha Dickson, and one great niece, Samantha Norma Jacquet. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home with Father Wayne Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. with Father Henry McInerney officiating.
