Wayne Manuel, Sr.

Mr. Wayne Anthony Manuel, Sr., of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, died Monday, January 22, 2007, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 68. Born in Biloxi, he attended Mississippi State University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting. Wayne also served in the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve while receiving his education. All who knew him loved Wayne. He was a nurturing father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. surviving is his wife of twelve years and best friend for life, Anita E. Manuel; daughters, Wanita M. DeToma (John) of Burlington, NC, Roxanne M. Flynn (Robert) of West Palm Beach, FL, Michele M. Sordelet (Claude) of Royal Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Roland, Erin, Lexi, Lake, Stone, Olivia, and Veronica; and great grandchildren, Jaiden, Rylee, and Jeremiah. He was predeceased by his son, Wayne Anthony Manuel, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
