Wayne Denny Wescovich

Wayne Denny Wescovich, 78, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 23, 2025. Wayne was a beloved figure to all who knew him.

He was born on January 19, 1947, to the late James "JD" Wescovich and Ruby Wescovich. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Grandy; and his beloved wife, Sibyl Wescovich.

Wayne had a distinguished career that spanned across the globe. For 20 years, he worked as an oil rig manager in Iran, navigating the challenges of the oil industry in foreign waters. He also served as a production manager during the construction of the MSV Thoros at Mitsubishi Shipyard in Hiroshima, Japan. A skilled ocean-going captain, Wayne piloted large tonnage ships across the seas before transitioning into an oil industry advisor. In this later role, he focused on improving safety and efficiency, reducing accidents, and making a positive impact on the global industry.

Outside of his professional life, Wayne had a deep love for fishing and golfing. He often found peace on the water or on the course, enjoying time spent outdoors with friends and family. He also cherished his travels and the experiences that came with exploring new places.

He is survived by his son, Mitchell Bean, and wife Marie; grandchildren, Mallory Crapps (Clif), Madalynn Bean, and Marshall Bean; three treasured great-grandchildren, Kabriel Wilkes, Penny Lane Argo, and Morgan Crapps. He also leaves behind "his girls" – nieces, Tina Poulos, Tonya Grandy, and Carrie Barfield, who each held a special place in his heart.

Wayne will be remembered for the quiet impact he made, the love he gave without condition, and the way he showed up for his family without fanfare, but always with heart.

A Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road Chapel. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
