WD "Bill" Bradley, Jr., husband and father passed away Saturday evening, July 2, 2005 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Bradley was born in Kaufman, Texas on July 14, 1921 and was a veteran of World War II, having fought in the European Theatre. He relocated his family to the Gulf Coast in the summer of 1965, where Gulfport became his home. He was a member of St. Perer's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church.
Mr. Bradley was a kind and honest man who taught and practiced honor, duty, and country. He loved his wife and his children and his grandchildren and his friendly and outgoing personality made him many friends throughout his life. He was part of the great generation of Americans who went through the Great Depression and fought and won a World War, helping to make this nation better for us all.
Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Bradley, Sr., and Jane French Bradley and by his brother, Robert French Bradley. Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Peggy, his two sons, Blair Bradley of Gulfport and Tracy Bradley of Lakewood, CO, and five grandchildren, Will Bradley of Lakewood, CO, Joseph Bradley, Beulah Bradley, Rhoda Bradley, and Simeon Bradley, all of Gulfport.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Covenant of Peace Church, Wednesday, July 6 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, Thursday, July 7 at 9:30 a.m.
