Wendell Ray Boykin

Mr. Wendell Ray Boykin, 57, of Ocean Springs, MS , went to the Lord on February 11, 2007 after his battle with Pancreatic cancer. He Passed away at Ocean Springs Hospital in Ocean Springs, Ms. He was of the Methodist faith. Wendell graduated from Pearl High Scholl in Pearl, Ms in 1967 where he was a member of the Pearl High School Band and played guitar in a local band. Wendell was a native of Pearl, Ms and a longtime resident of Ocean Springs. Wendell worked at the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, until the casino was damaged during Hurricane Katrina. Wendell was preceded in death by his father, Ottis Ray Boykin. Wendell leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda Boykin; sons, Shannon Boykin and Jason Boykin, of Biloxi; a daughter Apryl Boykin of Ocean Springs; his mother Vera Boykin of Brandon, Ms; sisters Vonnie Warren and Viola Boykin both of Flowood, Ms, Faye Dodds of Madison and her husband David; and a brother, Robert Boykin and his wife DeLeisa of Brandon, Ms; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2006 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road chapel, in Biloxi at 2:00p.m.where friends may call one hour prior to service.
