Werner Huber

Werner Joseph Huber, age 94, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the home of his daughter in Slidell, LA.

Werner was born on June 20, 1930 in Gulfport where he was a lifelong resident. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Werner was the owner of Huber Jewelers in downtown Gulfport. He was a member of the Yacht Club and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus council 1583. Werner was a very involved member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and Joseph Huber; 2 sons, Joseph and Michael Huber; and long-time companion, Alibee Hinton.

Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Nikolas of Slidell, LA; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Friends may visit one-hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Bradford-O’ Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Huber family.
