Wesley F. Balius, 91, of Biloxi passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in D'Iberville. Mr. Balius was born in Biloxi where he remained a lifelong resident. He was a US Army Veteran who served during WW II. He was a member of the VFW Post #2434 and a life member of the Biloxi Elks Lodge #606. He was the owner of Balius Construction in Biloxi. He was of the Catholic Faith.
Mr. Balius is preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Sophie Banta Balius; son, David Balius.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elisabeth Balius of Biloxi; sons, Mark Balius and Craig Balius both of Biloxi; sisters, Mildred Balius of Biloxi and Helen Mountjoy of Ocean Springs; brother, Freddie Balius of Gulfport; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, January 4, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Funeral Services are Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:00 am. Both will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral, Howard Ave., Biloxi. Burial is in Biloxi National Cemetery.
