Wilbert Anthony Holland

Mr. Wilbert A. Holland, 69, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Biloxi. Mr. Holland was a native and lifelong resident of the coast. He was a retired machinist from Ingall's Shipbuilding and an avid boat builder. He built and operated his own shrimp boat, the "Captain Tom". Mr. Holland was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Elvia Gervais Holland, and a sister, Melba Fountain Prevost. He is survived by his wife of 48, years, Elizabeth Disbrow Holland; brothers, Gilbert (Betty) Holland and William "Bill" (Opeal) Holland; eight nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation is Tuesday, June 22, 2010, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
