Jack Trochessett, 87, passed away August 4, 2006, in Biloxi where he was born July 4, 1919. He and his wife, Nona, have resided in the North Biloxi area 47 years. Retired from the U. S. Coast Guard in 1960, and Ingall's Shipbuilding in 1981, veteran of WW II, he lived at the home he built in North Biloxi from 1960 until it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Jack was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a dedicated husband and loving father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Edith Fayard Trochessett; brothers, Oswald, John, George, Jerry and Will Trochessett; sisters, Irene Poulos, Eleanor Diaz, Ruby Boney, Carmen Caillavet, and son, Wilfred P. "Jackie" Trochessett, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Nona M. Cruthirds Trochessett; daughter, June Garrison and her husband, Dan, of Haymarket, VA; sons, Duane Trochessett and his wife, Aimee, of Naples, FL, Lance Trochessett and his wife, Dana, of D'Iberville; thirteen grandchildren, Jana, Todd, Marci, Jason, Bryan, Paul, Shaun, Justin, Jillian, Haley, Lauren, Dillon, and Lance, Jr.; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Baxter of Smithfield, KY, Beatrice Viator of Sequin, WA, Delores Rushing of Ocean Springs, and Malvene Osterhout of Panama City, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time.
