Willene Dunaway Friar

Mrs. Willene Dunaway Friar, age 67, of Ocean Springs, MS., went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 15, 2007. Mrs. Friar was born in Tylertown, MS. She had been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1992, after living in Houston, TX., for 35 years, where she was actively involved in Sharpstown Baptist Church and the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezzie and Thelma Dunaway. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, E.R. "Bob" Friar, Jr. of Ocean Springs, MS., two daughters, Beth Skweres of Cypress, TX., and Elisa Montgomery and her husband, James, of Noblesville, IN., grandchildren, Sarah Lessman and Andrew Lessman, both of Houston, TX., Zachary Skweres of Cypress, TX., and Ryan Friar and McKenzie Montgomery, both of Noblesville, IN., a great-grandson, Austin Lessman, one sister, Faye Corn of Tylertown, MS., and a brother, Z.C. (Zeke) Dunaway of Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, October 18, 2007, there will be a 1:00 PM church service at Salem Baptist Church in Tylertown, MS., where friends may call from 12 Noon - 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Spence Cemetery in Tylertown. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 9185, Jackson, MS., 39286.
