William (Bill) Jerald Stringer

William (Bill) Jerald Stringer, 78, born December 8, 1930, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009. Bill was a lifelong resident of D'Iberville, a veteran of the Army and retired owner of Stringer Auto Air. He loved to fish. He was a former member of Pride of the South Bass Club, where he was "Mr. Bass of the Year" several times. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Spurgeon and Beulah Hankins Stringer; two sisters, Betty Fries and Jenny Lawerance; one brother, Charles Stringer. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clara Stringer of D'Iberville; three daughters, Sherry (Bert) Fletcher, Kathy (Vince) Schlickbernd both of D'Iberville and Robin (Jerry) Lanoue of Vancleave; one sister, Dorothy Phillips of Ocean Springs; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 10:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
