William "Bill" Glen Rogers

William “Bill” Glen Rogers Sr. passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at the age of 73. He succumbed to a fourteen-month battle with cancer, surrounded by family, at his home in Ocean Springs. He was a native of Anne Arbor, Michigan but a lifetime resident of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Bill was born June 30th, 1946 in Toronto, Canada. Bill served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1971. After leaving the Navy, he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from USM, and continued to study and teach CNC machining through USM Gulf Coast. He was the owner of Wellcheck, INC. where he enjoyed any and all engineering & machining challenges from designing and manufacturing inner ear surgical equipment, building marine and drag race engines, and the grand children’s school science projects. Bill passionately enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring antique cars, as well as automotive & marine drag racing. When spending time with family he was a great teacher and devoted father. He loved and adored his wife Pamala. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Glenville and Gladys Rogers of Maui, Hawaii. He was also preceded by his constant furry friend, Missy. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Pamala Rees Rogers; son, William Rogers, Jr. and wife Michelle; daughter, Jammie Rogers-Persing and husband Brian; son, Brent Rogers and wife Sherece; son, Dustin Rogers and wife Cassandra; grandchildren: Jack and Bryn Rogers, Gavriella, Genevieve, and Gwendolyn Persing, Holden Rogers, Dylan and Rees Rogers; and sister, Judith Pierpont. Funeral services will be held at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS on the 15th of November. Visitation will be from 8:30-10:00 am, with a 10:00 am prayer service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Memorial fund has been established in his name at the Singing River Health System Foundation and Cancer Fund at www.singingriverfoundation.org The family would like to thank Singing River Cancer Center of Ocean Springs, Dr. Teka Washington, Mary Powell, Lynn Denmark, and the entire loving staff at the center.
