William Buford Ivey

Mr. William Buford Ivey, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, August 12, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Ivey was born in Taylorsville, MS., on November 25, 1926. He made his home in Ocean Springs for over 40 years and worked for Singing River Electric for twenty years. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Hermer Nell Ivey of Ocean Springs, MS., daughter, Sharon Reid of Lucedale, MS., grandchildren, Adrianne Kuntz and Billy Reid, great-grandchildren, Tyler Reid, Blake Kuntz and Nick Kuntz, sons-in-law, Larry Reid and Scott Kuntz, three sisters and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Ivey was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be on Friday, August 14, 2009, from 9 AM - 10 AM, with a 10 AM church service, all at Woodhaven Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. Burial will be on Monday, August 17, 2009, at 10 AM at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
