William Edward Collier

Mr. William Edward Collier, 70, of Perkinston, MS. passed away on May 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Beeville, TX. to Vernon Edward and Annie Ruth Collier on July 10, 1950. He was a graduate of Beeville High School. Edward started his own business, Collier Welding and Fabrication, with his father, after moving to Mississippi. He ran a very successful business for 37 years until his retirement in 2011. His son, Dallas, carries on his legacy as a 3rd generation welder-fabricator. Edward believed in giving his all to any task he set out to do, definitely a trait he instilled in his children. He worked hard and played hard. He loved agriculture, livestock, antique vehicles, and fast boats, but all of that meant nothing unless he was surrounded by family and friends. Edward was a devoted husband, loving father, great father-in-law and a perfect PaPa. He will be greatly missed. Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Edward and Annie Ruth Collier. Left to cherish his memory includes his loving wife of 49 1/2 years, Debbie; his son, Dallas (Dianna) Collier; daughter, Heather (Shad) Jones; his grandsons, Luke Jones, Noah Collier, and Eli Jones; and his beloved pup, Daisy, she never left his side. The family would like to extend a Thank You to EnCompass Home Health and Hospice and a special thanks to his nurse, Shannon Dickerson. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for donations to be made to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in honor of Eli Collier Jones, Edward’s youngest grandson. Per Edward’s wishes, there will be no services, but a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of William Collier.
