William S. "Skip" Cothern

William S. “Skip” Cothern, 67, formerly of Gulfport died Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Clinton, LA Mr. Cothern was born in Jackson, MS and had been a long time resident of Gulfport. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School, class of ’67, where he was elected wittiest his senior year. He was also a graduate of USM where he graduated in the first MED TECH Program. Skip lived in Houston, TX for many years working in the medical field. He is preceded in death by his parents, June and George Cothern and a sister, Kay Stewart. Survivors include two sisters, Sharon Gibson (J.C.) and Linda Necaise (Clint) and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Pine Ridge Gardens, 28th Street, Gulfport Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
