William D. "Big Bill" Marcum

Mr. William D. "Big Bill" Marcum, age 77, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, August 8, 2005, in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Marcum was a native of Hardin County, Kentucky, and had been a coast resident for the past 37 years. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech/Sgt., after 20 years of service. For many years after his retirement he sold produce at the Biloxi Farmers Market. He was a member of Woodhaven Baptist Church. Mr. Marcum was preceded in death by his parents, William M. Adams and Lillie G. Marcum. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Marcum, daughter, Sheree Beaugez and husband, Ray, son, Harvey A. Marcum and wife, Belinda, three grandsons, Christopher Beaugez and wife, Bobbie Jo, Jonathan Beaugez, and Alexander Marcum, all of Ocean Springs, MS., two sisters, Thelma Hinton and Juanita Harbolt, and a brother, Charles Adams, all of Elizabethtown, KY. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, from 6-9 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, August 11, 2005, there will be a 2 PM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Woodhaven Baptist Church Building Fund, 3111 East Government Street, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564.
