William H, Gibson

William H. "Hoot" Gibson, 78, of Gulfport died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at home after an extended illness. He was born September 1, 1927 in Eureka, Kansas. Mr. Gibson was a retired Railroad Engineer of forty years and he served in the Merchant Marines and the National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary T. Gibson of Gulfport; two sons, Demetri Gibson of Gulfport and David Gibson of Colorado; a brother, Martin Blough of Brandon; three grandchildren, Tyler Gibson, Emmitt Gibson, and Harvey Gibson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday evening April 5, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport.
