Billy Joe Queen, age 57, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born in Clovis, NM and was a graduate of Incirlik High School in Adana, Turkey where he was an avid athelete. Billy Joe worked in the hospitality industry. He was an artist who enjoyed music and cooking. Most of all he loved his family deeply and was fiercely loyal to his friends.
Billy Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Romero Queen. He is survived by his children, Yasmin and Adrianna Queen; grandchildren, Jullien, Joel, Gabriel and A'Brie; his father, John Queen; Siblings, Sherry, Daniel and Christopher Queen; and neices and nephews, Christopher, Carl, Patricia, Desirea and Gian.
Sincere thanks and gratitude to the members of my mom's family Paul and Paula Romero and Marcy Bissell; his dear friend, Sista Romero and his best friend Hung Hurley; the Gauna family and his class mates and friends, especially my friends, co-workers and family.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. The ashes will be scattered at the beach in Ocean Springs following the service at 2:00 p.m.
