Mr. William J. "Bill" Selke, 63, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Sunday, July 17, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Selke was a native of Chicago, Illinois and had been a resident of the coast since 1981. He was a retired veteran of the U. S. Air force with 22 years of service and a safety officer with the Biloxi V A Medical Center. Mr. Selke was past commander of V.F.W. Post 6731 in D'Iberville and was All State V.F.W. Commander two times. He received many awards for hospital work chairman.
Survivors include his wife, Kitty Selke, daughter, Gretchen Jacomine Legere and son, Tim Selke and his wife, Lanette, all of Ocean Springs; his sister, Dolly Boland of Freeport, Ill; sister-in-law, Tricia Wicker and two nephews, Brent and Wesley Wicker of Texas; three grandchildren, Timmy Selke, Jr., Shaun Selke and Taelen Jacomine.
Graveside services will be Thursday, July 21, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
