Mr. William Jerrod Thompson, 20, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, January 12, 2006, in Wiggins.
Jerrod was born January 31, 1985, in Biloxi and remained a lifelong residen. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and graduated from Mercy Cross High School in 2003. Jerrod attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community Colleges for two years and was currently a student at the Jackson County Campus. He was a lifelong member of St. Marys Catholic Chuch in Woolmarket. While at Mercy Cross, Jerrod was a member of the National Honor Society and was elected as one of the five "Most Handsome Beau" of his senior class and he was also on the homecoming court as a duke. Jerrod lettered four years in football and three years in baseball.. He was selected to the pre-season All South MS Football team as a senior and was also selected to the 2A District 8 Elite 22 Team.
Jerrod loved sports and loved his family and friends. He was so full of life and never wanted to miss out on any of the good times, especially to be with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Neal Thompson and Sandra Hungerford Thompson and a sister, Brittany Michelle Thompson all of Biloxi; his grandparents, Lell and Laura Bosarge Thompson of Biloxi and Joseph and Edna Hungerford of Woolmarket. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and numerous cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Chruch in Biloxi where friends may visit from 12 noon till service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.
