William Marcus Wood, Jr.

William Marcus Wood, Jr., 83, of Gulfport, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 in Gulfport. Mr. Wood was born in San Angelo, Texas and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1946. He was a Methodist. He retired as CW3 from the U.S. Army in 1978 after over 34 years of service. Mr. Wood was a Mason, a member of Gulfport Masonic Lodge #422 and he was a Shriner and a member of Joppa Temple. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his 1st wife Vivian Collins Wood and his 2nd wife Thelma Cross Wood and his daughter Luellen Wood. Survivors include his son Tommy Wood of Gulfport. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
