Mr. William R. "Billy" Emile, Sr, age 73, of Panama City, FL., died Thursday, February 24, 2005, in Panama City, FL.
Mr. Emile was born in Biloxi, MS. He was a US Army veteran. He served the citizens of Ocean Springs for a number of years as a Captain on the Police Department. He retired from the Singing River Power Company in Gautier, was a member of the Biloxi Knights of Columbus Council #1244, the Biloxi Elks #606, and former member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs and Nativity Cathedral in Biloxi. He had resided in Panama City, FL., since 1999.
Mr. Emile was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia F. Emile, his parents, Toby and Marjorie Emile, a sister, Gloria Madsen and a brother, James Emile, Sr. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Radford and husband, Charlie, of Panama City, FL., a son, William R. "Billy" Emile, Jr., and wife,Ellen, of Ocean Springs, MS.., a sister, Catherine Anderson of Biloxi, MS., two brothers, Toby Emile, Jr. of Biloxi and George Emile, Sr., of Vancleave, four grandchildren, Kera Hunter of Gulfport, Mark, Morgan, and Taylor Emile all of Ocean Springs and two great-grandchildren, Christian Chaney of Gulfport and Consuella Caldwell of Ocean Springs.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 27, 2005, from 6-9 PM, 7 PM Rosary, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, February 28, 2005, there will be a 10 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
