William Thomas Angle, Sr.

William "Bill" T. Angle, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 after a long illness. Bill was born to Bartow and Emma Angle on September 6, 1928 in Garland, Alabama. Bill retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service in 1966, and owned his own paint contracting business for twenty-five years following his retirement from the service. He was fortunate in life, in that he had so many people who loved him. He taught his children that there is nothing more important than love and laughter. He was always making jokes and loved making people laugh. He never met a stranger, and he and his wife, Jewell, invited everyone into their home for a home cooked meal. Bill loved fishing and was never happier than when he was sitting beside a lake throwing in a line. His children were blessed to have such an extraordinary man as their father, and he will be deeply and sadly missed. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bartow Angle and Emma Angle Cook and his brother, Edwin Angle. He leaves behind his loving wife of sixty two years, Jewell Smith Angle; his two sons, William "Tom" T. Angle, Jr. (Chris) and Edwin C. Angle; his daughter, Angela A. Murello; his grandchildren, Jacob Angle (Casey), Scott Angle, Heather Angle, Jennifer Green (Danny) and Haleigh McNabb; along with his great-grandchildren, Ashley Angle, Cruz Angle, Sunny Angle, Morgan Angle, Kaylee Angle and Breelie Stalnaker; his sister, Marie Manning; brothers, Jack Angle (Inga), Jerry Angle (LaRue), Lamar Angle (Susan) and Carl Angle (Linda), as well as many nieces, nephews, loving friends, and his beloved dog, Prissy. Special thanks to his granddaughter, Heather Angle, for her loving care of her grandfather. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m.. Burial to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
