William Harry Wood, Jr

William Harry Wood, Jr. – a 56 year-old resident of Wilmer, Alabama passed away in Gulfport, Mississippi on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was transferred from Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home to Radney Funeral Home in Mobile.

Mr. Wood was a longtime computer software engineer. He enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, boating, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his father, William Harry Wood, Sr. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Barbara and Randy Meyer; siblings, Gwen Miller (Jerry), Geoff Wood, Jenni Harvey (Robert), and Greg Wood (Regina); 13 nieces and nephews; 3 great-nieces; a great-nephew; and his canine companion, Levi.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Mobile on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Terry Glasscock officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Miller, Jared Miller, Joshua Harvey, Luke Harvey, Chase Harvey, Bradley Wood, and Quentin Wood. Interment will be in Wilmer Cemetery.
