William Elmer Wrenn, age 70, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021, at his home. Wrenn was born on February 4, 1951 at the naval hospital at Camp LeJeune, NC. He graduated from UNC-CH in 1974 and worked in electrical equipment sales for 20 years before serving as Congregational Development Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of NC (1997-2010). In 2017, Wrenn and spouse Anna R. Avant semi-retired and moved to Gulfport, MS.
Wrenn is survived by Anna and her five children and their spouses, seventeen grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; his daughter, Katherine (Matt) Brunt; grandsons, Robbie Sherman and Christopher Brunt; and granddaughter, Ellie Sherman; along with daughter, Martha (Jorge) Chaires; grandson, Javier; granddaughter, Rosemary; sisters, Joan Althaus, Peggy Nelson, and Martha Tepper; their spouses, Dave, Steve, and Ben along with their grandchildren, Steven, Matt, Beth Ann, and Rebecca respectively.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, MS. Friends may visit two-hours prior to service. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wrenn family.
