Wilma Jean Griffith, age 66, of Vancleave, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Pascagoula.
Wilma was a welder for thirty years at Ingall's Shipbuilding and an active member of the Vancleave Volunteer Fire Department for over 10 years. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a very loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother.
Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Griffith, Sr., her parents, Ivy Grissom and Emmalene Parker along with her step-father, Wilbur John Parker.
Survivors include her daughter, Ida Marie "Sissy" (Rodney) Craig, two step-daughters, Selma Mae Meredith and Edna James; four sons, Henry "Gene" (Vicky) Griffith, Russell H. (Leda) Griffith, James "Jimmy" (Carol Roth) Griffith and Henry A. Griffith, Jr.; four step-sons, Albert, Don, Jack and Clifford Griffith; three sisters, Brenda K. Dunkle, Violet Forehand and Betty McClure; one step-sister, Wanda Land; two brothers, Ronald G. Parker and William W. Parker; long-time partner, Louis Waltman and numerous grand and great-grand children.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November, 22 2008 in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment at Vancleave Holiness Church Cemetery.
