Wilson Roy Johnston Jr.

Mr. Wilson "Roy" Johnston, Jr., of Vancleave, MS., passed from this earth on Sunday, November 6, 2011. Roy was born in Pensacola, FL and lived most of his life in Mississippi. He graduated from Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, MS. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Desert Storm and received an honorable discharge. He later joined the U.S. Coast Guard and served in Pascagoula, MS. He has worked for Southern Tire Mart in Mississippi and was the store manager in Gulfport, MS. Roy loved his family, golf, and Alabama football. Survivors include his wife, Amy Johnston, three children, Andrew, Emily, and Olivia, all of Vancleave, MS, mother, Virginia Johnston of Theodore, AL and father, Wilson Roy Johnston, Sr. of Niceville, FL. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, from 5 pm until 8 pm, with a 6:30 pm Rosary, all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, November 10, 2011, there will be a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Vancleave. Burial will follow in the Vancleave #1 Cemetery.
