Winford Roland Grimes

Winford Roland Grimes, age 80 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at home with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.

He was born on March 15, 1942 in Lawrence County, AL to Winford Price Grimes and Verl Mardis Grimes. He attended school until the eleventh grade. He was employed with Supship. He served in the 379^th Engineer Department in Mobile, AL. He was USAR “ready”. He enjoyed car shows, baseball, football, Nascar, and his fur babies.

Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lou Grimes.

He is survived by his son, Steven Roland Grimes; daughter-in-law, Stacie Lynn Grimes; grandchildren, Jaimie (Aaron) Moore, Lisa (Seth) Coxwell, and Joseph (Erin) Sanford; great-grandchildren, Jordan Levens, Izzabella Ikner, Addalyn Sandford, and Zayden Kol Sanford; sister, Evelyn Harrison; nieces, Joanna Fleming and Trish Harrison; great niece, Lena (Matt) Adcock, great nephew, Ryan Fleming; great- great niece, Adison Adcock.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior. A reception will follow at the family’s residence.
