Winona Ruth Hansen Haslanger

Mrs. Winona Haslanger, 89, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, December 3, 2010, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Haslanger was born in Greenville, Michigan and had been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1998. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother. Among her outstanding achievements was receiving her license as an airline pilot at the age of 16. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Haslanger; her parents, Arthur and Cleo Hansen; and a sister, Ilene Ferris. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Craig) Carpenter of Renton, WA; two sons, Robert Haslanger of Ocean Springs, and David (Laura) Haslanger of Omaha, NE; a special friend, David Franklin; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs is in charge of arrangements.
